Cardon
Children's Medical Center is home to the very first Joyful Life
Library, established in October 2009. The PICU at Cardon's is home to
24 beds and offers comprehensive care to infants, children, and
adolescents. Cardon's focuses on child-friendly, family-centered care
to promote healing and wellness.
Diamond
Children's Medical Center is a partnership between University Medical
Center and The University of Arizona Steele Children's Research Center
focused on bringing advanced care and compassion to all children in
Southern Arizona. As a result, children have the advantage of being
treated by leading experts with the latest diagnostics and therapeutic
procedures. The Joyful Life Library began sponsoring Diamond Children's
in September 2011.
The
PICU at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach has 20 beds and provides
round-the-clock care to critically ill or injured toddlers, children,
and teenagers. The PICU serves over 1300 patients each year and is home
to the region’s only county-designated Pediatric Emergency Department
and Trauma Center. The Joyful Life Library project has been sponsoring
Miller Children's Hospital's PICU library since April 2011.
The
Joyful Life Library at Children's Hospital of Orange County was founded
in May 2011. Their PICU, housed on two floors of the hospital, is home
to a total of 30 beds and provides acute care to critically ill medical
and surgical patients. The PICU is also home to the Ronald McDonald
House-sponsored 6th floor Family Zone which offers a waiting area with
comfortable furnishings and a respite lounge for parents.
The
PICU at Rady Children's Hospital is home to 30 beds and a Joyful Life
Library that was created in May 2011. Named one of the best children's
hospitals in 2011-2012 by U.S. News and World Report, Rady Children's
has treated over 2 million sick and injured children since it opened its
doors in 1954.
The
Joyful Life Library at Riley Hospital for Children was established in
April 2011. Riley's PICU is home to eight spacious private rooms that
allow for families to stay at the patient's bedside around the clock.
The multidisciplinary PICU staff provides specialized, quality care for
its critically ill patients.
The
20-bed PICU at Doernbecher Children's Hospital provides round-the-clock
acute care to patients from birth to young adulthood. The PICU team
addresses many critical childhood health concerns, including trauma,
surgery, respiratory, cardiac, hematology/oncology and neurologic
disorders. The Joyful Life Library Project began sponsoring Doernbecher
Children's PICU library in May 2011.
Kapi'olani
is Hawai‘i's only designated pediatric center. It boasts the only
emergency room with specialists trained in pediatric emergency medicine
and the only intensive care unit to treat critically-ill children.
The Joyful Life Library began sponsoring Kapi'olani's PICU library in
February 2012.

Wesley's 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides the highest level of care to critically ill or injured children of all ages. Directed by a pediatrician who specializes in pediatric intensive care, the unit's staff include specially trained and experienced pediatric nurses, technologists and respiratory therapists. State-of-the-art technology and design contribute to quality care. Private rooms are available for patients with contagious diseases.
