Thank you for your interest in supporting the Joyful Life Library through the donation of books.
With the volume of patients pediatric intensive care units treat, there is a constant need for books. We're currently hosting
libraries at 10 children's hospitals across the country, and hope you'll take a moment to learn more about them.
To make the donation process as simple as possible we have teamed up with Amazon.com to create wish lists for each of our
library locations. All books purchased through these lists will be shipped directly to the selected hospital, allowing your donation
to begin bringing comfort to critically ill children and their families as quickly as possible.
We include both hard and soft cover books on our wish lists, as a way to cover the needs of all patients/families.
Hard cover books are used in waiting areas, play rooms, and shared amongst patients by being brought to individual bedsides
for families to enjoy with their child. Soft cover books are used to bring comfort to children that cannot be exposed to germs
carried by shared books. These less expensive books are given to those patients to keep as a special bedtime story of their own.
